PALMERSTON N., April 5. The weather today has been dull but fine and prospects are good for the second and concluding day of the Manawatu autumn meeting. The acceptances are good, with several fresh horses. Lindrum has injured himself by galloping into a trestle and is an unlikely starter. The following may be supported:— Kairanga Hurdles: Hunting Lore and Ruling Star. Stonyhurst Juvenile: Air Flight and Triple Crown. Lockwood Handicap: Zest and Sceptre. Tamatete Handicap: Duncannon and Galteemore. Manawatu Sires’- Produce Stakes: Phaleron and Chary. North Island Hack Plate: Chief Lord and Charles Edward.
