A PASSION PLAY

“The Upper Room” Tonight This evening the Wellington Catholic .Players will present in St. Francis Hall a Passion Play. “The Upper Room,” by the late Robert Hugh Benson. This play, which has not inaptly been described as "A glimpse behind the scenes culminating in Calvary on the first Good Friday.” is being appropriately staged during Holy Week. Active rehearsals have been proceeding for some time under the capable direction of Veronica Lacey and the result should be a finished performance. The Basilica Male Choir, will provide the choral numbers incidental to the .play. In addition Maria Dronke. who recently made her first appearance before Wellington audiences, is to give verse-speaking items. The box plan is at the D.I.C.
