GIFT EVENING FOR BRIDE-TO-BE
A cheery gift evening was held recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hitcben, Island Bay, AVellington, when Miss Doris Keni-p was tlie guest of honour. Miss Kemp, who wore a London tan frock relieved with white, is to be married today to Second-Lieutenant Bruce Davison, Hataitai. During the evening several musical items were given and competitions held. The gifts were opened -by the bride-to-be, after which her friends joined in giving her musical honours and wishing her all happiness for Hie future. A delicious supper was served toward the close of the evening.
Suggestions for really interesting wedding presents which are just a little different include old silver in the shape of teapots, or tea sets, old silver spoons in sets, or odd serving spoons, Sheffield plate trays, and pepper, salt, and mustard sets. Coffee cups, tea sets, sporting prints, Spode pottery, Dresden figures and tlie loveliest mirrors with round or oval gold frames, are all worth considering. Rollin and Co., 17 Grey Street.—Advt.
