Inter-Faculty Sports CRICKET, TENNIS, BOWLS An important event on the outdoor programme in Wellington today will be the Victoria University College iiiierlacujtj sports meeting on Kelburn Park, lhe brst event will start at 2 p.m. Wellington Cricket. The Wellington Cricket Association will play a match, the champion team (Kilbirnie) v. the Rest, at the Basin .Reserve, starting at 11 a.m. The final match for'the second grade championship between Petone and llutt will be played on I'etone Oval. The Onslow club will have a club day and play three matches among its own teams at Nairnville Park, commencing at The Karori club will play special matches —Veterans v. Colts and FourthsFifths v. Sixths-Sevenths. A University team will play a game against Mr. C. 11. Hain's team of past students ou the Scots College ground. Mercantile Cricket. The Mercantile Cricket League will continue its chamuionsbip matches ami the following A grade games will be decided: Prestige v. Harbour Board, Anderson No. 2; James Smith v. Justice Department, 'Wakefield No. 7 ; Taxes v. Working Men's Club, Newtown No. i ; Amalgamated Bricks V. Tailbmnns, Kubirnie No. 5; Woolworths v. Hannahs, Wakefield No. 6. Hutt Valley Cricket. The Hutt Valiev Cricket Association will proceed with its grade competitions. The following A grade matches will be played: Trafalgar Park v. Moera Stop Out, Randwick School; Bell Park v. Gear United, Bell Park ; Empire v. Eastbourne, North Park No. 2; Ilalvic v. Upper Hutt, lipper Hutt. Women’s Cricket.
