Suggestion To General Freyberg A suggestion that on Anzue Day. 1940, a wreath should be deposited on the graves of the Turkish soldiers who fell during the Gallipoli campaign bus been made by the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association to Major-General B. C. Freyberg. .The association also suggested that it would be appropriate if the 2nd A.1.1-’. were to co-operate with the 2nd N.Z.E.F. in the tribute. Anzae Day. 1940. being Hie twentyfifth anniversary of lhe Anzac landing, it is considered there could be no more titling occasion for such a' aeslnre.
