Fully Subscribed CANBERRA. March 14. The Commonwealth war loan of £lS.o(io.(hm> closed last night. It was fully subscribed. Approximately £10.000.000 of the Joan is for public works of the Connnonweallh ami States anil for other purposes, and the baianee for Commonwealth defence. It was in iwo sections, one bearing interest nt 3s per cent, lor live years, the other bearing interest at 3’s per cent, for 10 or 16 years. The issue price is £lOll. The Acting-Treasurer. Mr. I’. ('. Spender. stated when this loan had been launched that "no other loan limited since the National Debt conversion in 1931 Ims evoked such a splendid response in the t hue."
