THE THOMPSON HANDICAP.—The field as it straightened up for home in the Thompson Handicap at Trenthan yesterday, when the Wellington Racing Club's Centennial Autumn Meeting opened. Amigo (outer) and White Rajah have charge from Night Eruption, with Orelio (roils), Kathbella, and Laughing Lass (cuter) next. Then come Globe Trotter (No. 11) and Baran (rails), Beaupartir and Sternchase (outer), with Jack Tor, Haughty Winner, and Wild Talk bunched in behind them, then Raeburn (No. 17, outer), Old Bill (at back on rails) and Homily just showing in the picture. The finish of the race (No. 5) is shown with the other finishes below.
