Benelils which would result from tree examinations of specimens submitted to hospital board Inbornlories by medical practitioners were referred tout a meeting of the Auckland Hospital Board by Dr. .1. P. Hastings, who said thirl the Health Department had advised all doctors that hospital hoards had been asked to discontinue charging patients for various tests in connexion with a number of diseases. Dr. Hastings said that it would be of great assistance to the doctors anil Ihe public, as it would enable earlier diagnoses Io be made.
