Sensitive to atmosphere, Mahoney has all the goods at hi? disposal when before audiences, and whether in song, story, characterization or novelty dance, he can make them forget world worries. Speed is the keynote of the programme which J. C. Williamson, in conjunction with Tivoli, will present in the New Opera House, Wellington, from Easier Saturday afternoon. Singers, dancers, acrobats, athletes, light comedians and broad comedians, instrumentalists, ballerinas, and an animal circus—all are featured on the programme of the show, which revives all the pristine glory of vaudeville in its highest and most satisfying form. xXmong the artists associated with Mahoney will be the fascinating Evie Hayes, who vitalizes- audiences with her radiant charm; the Melolians, who reveal fresh musical delights; the Lampines. in a thrilling escapologist act; the Four Florays, who enthrall with a novel exhibition of acrobatics : Johnny Hyman, in sophisticated humour that strikes a new note; Bob Geraghty, memorable to New Zealand people because of liis piano playing ; Les and Mavis Ritchie, in eccentric dance routines; John Bobbie, always an exhilaration : and Margaret Kelly, who sings ballads and operatic numbers.
