In reply to a question in the House of Commons as to whether naturalized British subjects who were previously refugees from Germany would, when called up for military service, be asked to undertake foreign service, the Financial Secretary to the War Office, Sir Victor Warrender, said;
Such personnel would uot be employed in lighting units which were directly opposed io German forces, unless they expressed in writing their willingness to be so employed. They would be liable for any other form of service abroad.
