Shandon Ladies’ Midweek Club The Shandon ladies' midweek club will open its winter season on Alouday, March 11. wlieu a fourball bestball com petition will be played, commencing nt 10.30 a.m. The Summer Cup has been won by Mrs. C. Girdlestone witli 0 points, Airs. Zachariah coming second with 6 points. In the lower division Mrs. Whiteher was (lie winner. Rangimarie Club The annual meeting of the Rangimarie Golf Cluli was held this week. A successful season, tlie report stated, was expertdiced in 1939, <ui<l durinx ,vc*ur the course was improved. Four new greens were laid down, mid a watering scheme for tlie grass, which was financed largely by voluntary sul)scri(>tion from the members. was put into operation. Iloritalirook, while J. B. Tunnell was beaten bv the ex-New Zealand champion, B. Al. Silk. J. D. Nash mid -I. B. Tumiell were each presented with a cup to mark their ou Ist a tiding perl’ormmiees.
