The resignation of Mr. C. W- Mack was accepted with regret al last night's meeting of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Mack, who has been a councillor for 17 years, explained that pressure of business precluded his standing again this year. The chamber decided to place on record appreciation of the services given by* Mr. Mack, and also by Messrs. A. J. Curtis. G. Luke and V. MacphersouJoues, who retire as elected members.
