CHURCH PARADE

Many Firemen Attend More Ilian 350 firemen. representing 137 brigades throughout New Zealand, marched through Hie streets of Petone to Hie music of three bands on Sunday, when a church parade was held. Tin- num formed up outside the Petone Fire Sial ion. and from there marched down Kensington Avenue, along L'd.v Street and down Britannia Street, where they broke off for their various churches. Bands which assisted were the Salvation Army Band, the Petone Municipal Band and the Pipe Band. On Sunday afternoon the visiting brigadesmeu were tlie guests of the Petone Brigade on a 40-mile Ims trip around Hie suburbs and bays. At 3.30 p.m. they visited Hie Wellington Central Brigade, and were entertained there to afternoon tea, after which they were conducted on tin inspection of the new lire station premises.
