Wellington Market Steady KEEN BUYING INTEREST Business opened quietly on the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday, the turnover being small. There was, however, a good tone in the market, with lairl.v strong buying interest. There was a keen demand for Government loans at steady rates, but supplies were scarce, holders showing little interest. Bunks were quiet and little changed. Gas and insurance shares were firm. Interest in industrials was well maintained, prices generally showing little movement. Bonds Hosiery advanced to business at 27/-. N.Z. Refrigerating sold a shade better at 10/9. G. J.
