Salvation Army Work In New Zealand CAMPAIGN OF VIRILE EVANGELISM (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUOKLANX), March 3. Lieutenant-Commissioner J. Evan Smith has arrived from England to take charge of the work of the Salvation Army’ in New Zealand. He is accompanied by his wife and son. Saying he was delighted with his New Zealand appointment, Lieutenant-Com-missioner Smith recalled with pleasure the visits he had made to the Dominion in 1920 and 1924 in company with General Bramwell Booth. “I want to lead the Salvation Army here in virile evangelism," he said. “It seems to Die that the time is ripe for the rebirth of a spiritual and religious life which would remould society in a way that no less potent force could do.
