The Lhasa correspondent of “The Times” says the Dalai Lama has assumed the name of "Tender in glory, Mighty in speech, Excellent, in intellect, Absolute in wisdom, Holding to the doctrine.” Throngs of monks and nuns filled the roads on the way to the installation ceremonies.
