Fascinating Show Still At New Opera House

J. C. Williamson's fascinating ice show and ice'ballet, "Switzerland." possessed of all the elements of good entertainment, continues to attract large audiences to (lie New Opera House, Wellington. The skating of Megan Taylor last night captivated the hearts of all present, and won for her spontaneous applause. Phil Taylor thrilled with bis daring performance on stilts and other trick skating, and one could not overlook the elegance and grace with which this intrepid performer, in while satin court dress of the seventeenth century, danced the minuet with the sylth-like Elsie Heathcole. Three other firm favourites were the MacKinnon .Sisters and Diana Grafton. Eddie Marcel, the West End comedian, with his neatly-contrived patter and cunning jokes, kept minds busily occupied, as well as being the efficient, compere for the entire show. .In the cabaret scene, arranged to allow the skaters a rest, he provided quite an entertainment in himself ami was well supported by Connie Graham, a gifted mimic, and Hal Scott, aud Tommy Russell and Ernie Marconi, who kept the fuu going with their musical fooling. "Switzerland" will be presented at a performance ibis afternoon, and again tonight.
