G.P.O. ANNUAL PICNIC
Tlie General Post Office annual picnic was held on Wednesday at Day's Bay. there being about 750 officers and their families present. Tlie Eastbourne terry steamer' Muritai. gaily bedecked, wita (lags, conveyed most of the picnickers, and a uuiiilber travelled by road, using their own conveyances. Waler sports, novelty, and the usual racing events and tennis, were enjoyed. During the afternoon the Post masterGeneral, Mr. Jones, and Mrs. Jones, attended, the Minister presenting tlie prizes Io tin- successful competitors in the sports programme.
