German Wool Buyers On Australian Markets

A deputation of wool buyers and sellers in Sydney has sought (lie aid of the Government ‘in preventing Gormans operating on the wool market. Evidence lias been '-iven by Japanese. Yorkshire, French and Belgian buyers that, they have been handicapped by naturalized Germans buying for indirect dispatch to Germany, generally through America. The Federal Attorney-General, Mr. Hughes, has agreed that the matter is of vital importance. He has assured the deputation that the Government would support the buyers in discouraging German competition, and prevent any wool, or financial aid as the result, of dealing in wool, reaching Germany. either directly or through America in any circumstances whatsoever.
