TYPHOID IN POLAND
Measures To Prevent
Epidemic
LONDON, January 17.
The German official news agency announces extraordinary measures to prevent pestilence in Warsaw, where 700,000 people have been vaccinated against typhus. Delousing stations are being established and districts quarantined against spotted fever. A Paris message says that the Polish Government at Angers has been informed that two kinds of typhoid have broken out in Poland, due to bad water and over-consumption of fruit. Doctors expect spring-time epidemics of spotted fever and cholera.
