FORECAST FOR TODAY'S WEATHER
Mainly Fair To Fine With Mild To Warm Temperatures Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending at 3 p.m. today :— Weather: Unsettled over the northern half of the North Island, with scattered rain, more especially in the Auckland Peninsula; elsewhere mainlj fair to fine, but with the possibility of mist or drizzle developing late, on the east coast of the South Island. Temperatures mild to warm. General situation: While disturbed conditions continue in the extreme north of the North Island, an anti-cyclone still covers the New Zealand area, highest pressures being .found in the far south. Forecast —Winds: From an easterly quarter predominating; moderate to fresh in force north of New Plymouth and Napier, and freshening at times along the east coast; otherwise light or moderate. Seas (New Zealand waters) : Slight on the west const, moderate on the
Eastern'Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh east to south-east winds and moderate to rather rough seas in the northern portion, light and variable winds and slight seas in the southern.
