A 04ft. high-speed English-built motor-boat lias been unloaded at Auckland from a ship in port and will be used by all three defence services. Provision for its purchase was made in Hie last Estimates. It is stated that (be craft, has a good radius of action and is extremely seaworthy. It will lie of tlie greatest value for target practice by I he coastal defence forces of the defended ports tlirpughout the Dominion.
'The motor-boat, whose size and general appearance have attracted niueti attention on tlie wharves, will lie used generally for towing targets at high speed.
