Romney Ram By Telegraph.—Press Association. MASTERTON, January 17, Though bidding, on I lie whole, was hard to get, the sale in Masterton today of stud Southdown and Romneys was a good one for classy animals, as evidenced b the 380gns„ claimed to be the highest price paid in an miction ring in New Zealand, for a stud Romney ram received by the estate of flic late Quentin Donald. The purchaser was .1. C. Best, Hawera. Another high figure for a Romney was the 220gns. paid by A. T. Hunter, Wanganui, for a ram offered on account of Sir William Perry, who also received 200gus. for another i"im. lhe purchaser in this case being -I. (Irani, Waimate. The highest price for a Southdown was ItlOgns., the vendor being Sir William Perry and the buyer U. E. Vile, Bulls.
