After being wounded in Belgium, while serving with the A.E.F., Mr. Symonds took over the Johnsonville business from his brother, “Rod,” in 1929. The new ultra-modern business block, of a public hall and four shops, and which the Johnsonville Residents are justly proud of, was recently completed by Mr. Symonds, and one of the shops he now occupies. Among the many of his business and social activities, he ably serves as Member of the Town Board, Chairman of the local R.S.A., and President, Johnsonville Platoon Association.
