TWO HORSES KILLED
Power Line Fouled By Hay-Stacker Dominion Special Service HAMILTON, January 4. Two horses were killed on the property of Mr. J. Edwards, Horsham Downs, when a hay-stacker they were drawing struck the main high-tension electric-power lines from Arapuni to Auckland. As a result power was cur off for some time. One of the lines broke and fell, the electric current travelling along the shaft of the stacker and striking tin two horses. The owner, who was directing the horses with reins, did not feel any shock. The switches al Arapuni “tripped” immediately and {tower throughout the district was cut off for six minutes. Power was restored to Auckland along the two unbroken lines.
