Twenty-Four Norwegian Ships Destroyed

LONDON, January 3.

The Estonian steamer Mina, of 1173 tons, with a crew of 17, bound to the North Sea, has not been reported since December 11. states a message from Tallinn. Stockholm reports that the Swedish four-masted sailing ship Lars Magnus Trozelli (1955 tons) was sunk by a mine off the east coast of England.

Statistics compiled by the Norwegian Government show that 24 Norwegian merchant ships have been destroyed by mines or torpedoes since the war began. Ninety-nine seamen have lost their lives.—By radio.
