OBITUARY
Mrs. Sarah Jane Standidge
The death occurred at Fairfield, Waipawa, Hawke’s Bay, on December 30 of the widow of the late John Charles Standidge, in her 90th year. She was one of the settlers who came to New Zealand in the sailing ship Zealaudia. They landed at Lyttelton in September, 1858. Mrs. Standidge was a resident of Wellington for 15 years, and had thereafter lived till her death at Waipawa. She had two sons and eight daughters. The children who survive are: F. C. Standidge, Wellington; Mrs. L. Booth, Mrs. J. Williams, Waipawa; Mrs. E. A. Banks. Island Bay: Mrs. H. W. Kelly, Melbourne; Mrs. G. P. 11. Davidson,' Kelburn; Mrs. Somerset Playne, England; and Miss Standidge, Waipawa. There arc 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
