Vain Search For Source LONDON, December 25. The King, in his Christmas broadcast spoke into the same microphone as he used on his first Christmas broadcast in 1937. He then intended to discontinue the practice, because it was one so personally connected with King George V. It is reported from Court circles that Ills Majesty cljose the quotation himself. He did not revea the origin, and those in Court circles searched vainly after the speech was first drafted. The Press Association says that the King himself does not know the source of his quotation. He did not find it in a book, but came across it recently. He was so struck by the words that he decided to incorporate them in tlie broadcast.
