■Sir Benjamin Fuller, governing director of the Fuller Theatre Corporation, and of John Fuller aud Sons, Ltd., arrived at Wellington by the Limited express from Auckland yesterday. The Hon. Mr. Justice Callan arrived at Wellington from Auckland yesterday by the Limited express. Mr. P. McSkimming, Dunedin, is visiting Wellington.

Mr. N. H. Skinner travelled south from Wellington last night by the steamer express.

Mr. J. W. Dove, Dunedin, has been appointed a member of the Nurses and Midwives’ Registration Board. Dr. A. Gillies, Wellington, has been appointed a member of the Masseurs Registration Board. Mr. S. J. Castle returned to Wellington yesterday after a short visit to Dunedin.

Mr. L. O. J-l- Kipp, Wellington, was a passenger for the South Island last night by Hie steamer express. Mr. E. V. Bevan, New Zealand manager of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, Ltd., returned to Wellington from the south yesterday.

Mr I-I. Valentine, second assistantgeneral manager of the Railways Department, returned to Wellington yesterday from the South Island. Mr. R. T. McLean and Miss M. I. Saunders have been reappointed members of the Masseurs’ Registration Board.

Mr. E. J. Tait, governing director of J C. Williamson, Ltd., who has been in Wellington for the last fornight, has left for Sydney.

Mr. J. F. Staton, conductor of the Sheffield Philharmonic Choir, England, lias made arrangements to leave for the West Indies early in January. Mr. R. Agnew, Wellington, has been transferred to Hamilton as chief clerk and accountant of the Public Works Department’s electrical branch there.

Mr. E. E. Hirst, who has been postmaster of Levin for the last eight years, has been transferred to Dannevirke iu a similar capacity. Mr. G. H. Mackley, General Manager of the New Zealand Railways, was entertained by the publicity and magazine staffs at the Hotel Waterloo on Tuesday evening. Mr. Leo Fanning complimented Mr. Mackley on ■the keen interest he took in the management of the huge business and the pleasant relationships which existed between him and the staff. .Mr. Mackley spoke warmly of the co-operation of the staff, which had made possible the successful conduct of the business during a difficult year.
