CERTIFICATES RECEIVED

Miramar Red Cross Branch

There was a large attendance at the band-room, Miramar, when Dr. G. N. Findlay presented certificates to members of the Miramar Red Cross Society, and to some women members of the Hataitai branch who had attended one course at Miramar. Mrs. J. Bennett, president, was in the chair, and welcomed the visitors, including Mrs. Bruce, president of the Lyall Bay branch. The Miramar branch has made steady progress since its revival slightly more than a year ago. Mrs. Bennett re ferred to the various activities and thanked her committee for its loyal support. It was pleasing to be able to say that every candidate who had sat for examinations had passed. A presentation was made to Dr. Findlay in recognition of his practical assistance and support, also to the president. Musical items were much enjoyed ami after supper the gathering concluded with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne.”
