R.S.A. CHILDREN'S PARTY IN PARAPARAUMU

The Coronation Hall, Paraparaumu, was well filled on Friday for the children’s annual Christmas party conducted by the Returned Soldiers’ Association. The following contributed to an enjoyable night:—-Misses P. Childs and J. and Z. Howell in character songs with stage settings; Misses Eatwell, vocal trios; Misses Birkett, tap dancing, and a sledge scene, in which Barbara Sweetmijn was featured as Snow White and her attendants. Old-time war songs were sung, led by the. Diggers’ Band. The accompaniments were played by Mr. H. Pascoe, piano, and Miss Cora Lang, violin. Toward the close of the evening the children were presented with Christmas gifts, and supper, ice creams and drinks were served under the direction of Mesdames Tyson, P. A. Howell and N. Gilchrist. The committee is indebted to Mrs. C. Weston for her scenic and decorative work in the hall and on the stage, to Mrs. Wolferstan- for the training and dressing of the childrep, and to all the workers who helped to make the evening a success.
