Survey Flight To Capital Urged By Chamber
“We are all familiar with the position. It is up to us to get the service here sooner or later and the sooner the better,” said the vice-president, Mr. 11. H. Nimmo, at last night's meeting of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, when referring to the Tasman Air Service. He moved that the chamber again write to the Postmaster-General, .Mr. Jones, requesting that a survey Hight to Wellington be made by the Aotearoa.
The motion was carried. Mr. F. Wilson suggesting that it would be an excellent idea if Major-General Frcyberg, Commander of the New Zealand Forces overseas, who is coming to New Zealand, could be down to Wellington in the Aotearoa.
