PICTON EXCURSION

The Waliine will make this year’s Boxing Day excursion to Pieton, leaving Wellington at 8 a.m. The 52-mile voyage should take about two hours and a half, most of that time being spent in the sheltered waters of 'Wellington Harbour, Tory Channel and Queen Charlotte Sound. Launches will run to a number of beauty spots in Queen Charlotte Sound, and a special train for Blenheim will leave Pieton at 11 a.m., returning again at 1.25 p.m.. in time to connect with the Wahine. which will leave Pieton at 2.30 p.m. and arrive at Wellington shortly after 5 p.m.
