FAIRLY CALM
Battlefront Reports FLIGHTS INTO BELGIUM By (Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received Nov. 13, 11.10 p.m.) , LONDON, November 13. The Paris correspondent o£ “'Hie Times” says that, apart from the usual raids and patrols and German aerial trespassing over Belgian territory, the West Front has been comparatively calm. In Paris an air raid warning was sounded at 4.20 a.m. and, the allclear signal was given at 5.20 a.m.
Tbe The German High Command last night claimed to have repulsed a French attempt, supported by artillery, to capture heights near Pirmasens, the Germans taking a number of prisoners. A French official communique stated that there were raids at various points on tbe front.
Sunday evening’s French communique indicated that the efforts by the German infantrymen on the Western Front during the day were unsuccessful. By all accounts the French had no difficulty in holding up the German raids. Heavy weather has been responsible for comparative iuactivity in the air. There has been no sign of alarm over the weekend, and reports from The Hague this evening indicate that the situation is regarded with calm.— By radio.
