Op.en Golf Championship ROAD CYCLING RACE An important event on today s outdoor programme in Wellington will be the conclusion of the New Zealand open golf championship ou the Miramar links, lue third round will be played in the morning, and the fourth and final round in the afternoon. The 1939 New Zealand amateur road cycling championship will be decided over a course of 100 kilometres today. The race will start at 1.30 p.m. from the Grand National Hotel, Petoue, and will finish there. The championship sash and medallions will be presented at a gathering after the race, which should finish about 4.30 p.m. Wellington Cricket Association. The Wellington Cricket Association will commence the third series of grade championship matches, when the following senior games will be played: Wellington y. Institute, Karori; Hutt V. Kurort, Hutt; Varsity v. Kilbirnie, Kilbirnie; Midland v. Old Boys, Kelburn Park. Mercantile Cricket. The Wellington Mercantile Cricket League will continue its championship competitions, when the following A giade matches will be decided: Hannahs v. Prestige, Wakefield No. 6_; Amalgamated Bricks v. James Smiths, Kilbirnie No. U; Taxes Department v. Harbour Board, Kelburn No. 3; Woolworths v Justice Department, Athletic No. 1; Taubmaus v. Working Men’s Club, Athletic No. 2. Hutt Valley Cricket. The Hutt Valley Cricket Association will proceed with its championship matches, when the following A grade games will be played: Gear United v. Halvic, North Park No. 2; Bell Park v. Moera Stop Out, Bell Park; Eastbourne v. Trafalgar Park, Eastbourne; Upper Hutt v. Empire, Upper Hutt. Women’s Cricket. Following are the Wellington Womens Cricket Association’s fixtures for today: Senior College Old Girls v. Technical. Old Girls, Prince of Wales No. 1; Kilbirnie v. Wellington, Prince of Wales No. 2. Intermediate: Hutt United v. Wellington, Prince of Wales No. 3; Trinity v. Midland, Nairn Street. Junior: College Old Girls v. Technical Day, Prince of Wales No. 4; Onslow v. Kilbirnie, Tanera Crescent. Lawn Tennis. Following is the draw for the interelub matches to be played by the M ellington Lawn Tennis Association today:— Senior A Division Men—Wellington v. The Wellington Baseball Association will continue its league championship matches, when the following international league games will be played: Cardinals v.
