Mr. Eden States Aim Of The Empire LONDON, October 6. In an Empire broadcast, Mr. Anthony Eden, Dominions Secretary, said “We arc not lighting to preserve the old world, but to build a new one in which moral and spiritual values will prevail. “It was thought we had won such a victory iu 1918: this time. God willing, we won’t fail. “Wo feel no doubt of ultimate victory. with the answer from the millions of people of the Empire ringing in our ears that the Empire is lighting to end "a rule of violence and win the benefits of civilization for men and women everywhere.”
