Hi.s Excellency the GovernorGeneral was present at Ids office at Government Buildings ou Saturday morning for the transaction of official business. ,
Mr. J. Black, Dunedin, was a passenger from the south by the steamer express on Saturday. Mr. L. Deans Ritchie, Dunedin, arrived front Hie south on Saturday by the steamer express.
The Rev. F. J. Feron, vicar of Ashburton, was a. passenger from the south by the steamer express on Saturday.
Mr. E. Clince Little, of the staff of the Bank of Australasia, Wellington, has been appointed manager of the bank’s Waipawu branch. The Rev. John Davie, Masterton, has been nominated by the Wanganui Presbytery as Moderator-designate for the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, to be held next year.
