WALL STREET DECLINE
Rumour of European Peace By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received October 8. 6.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, October 7. Stocks have declined from one to three points on a light trading basis, caused by rumours that a European peace might be expected. Steels, aviations, sugars and coppers le<! the recession. United States and foreign Governments advanced, but domestic corporates declined, as did commodities. Wheat is down a cent or more a bushel. NEW YORK, October 5. The turnover on the New York Stock Exchange today amounted to 910,000 stocks and shares.
