SOLDIERS’ PAY
Increases Urged By R.S.A.

DUNEDIN, September 27.
At a meeting of the executive of the Dunedin R.S.A. a special committee’s report on pay and allowances to soldiers was adopted for submission to headquarters. The findings, inter alia, were as follows: — That the proposed pay for. commissioned ranks is out of proportion to the 191 S rates; that the flat increase for two classes of n.c.o.’s should be 2/- a day instead of 1/- and 1/6 as announced; it is recommended that the dependants’ allowances be 4/- for s wife and 2/- for each child.
