‘Toward the end of July the Minister of Internal Affairs expressed the wish that Recreation Week should be undertaken throughout the Dominion.” said the mayor of Ylastertou, Mr. Jordan, today. “The committee set up lias arranged a varied programme of outdoor and indoor recreation, providing physical cultural demonstrations that should appeal to the public. “We s-hould like to express our thanks to individuals and groups of performers for assistance to this end. In many cases it. involves considerable expense and personal inconvenience, and their efforts are further demonstration of a very desirable pulilie spirit. It now remains for citizens to second the committee’s and the performers’ efforts and to derive the maximum -benefit from the fare that will lie offered to them during the week commencing next Saturday.”
