SWEDISH TRAMP SHIPPING. It Is understood that the Swedish Shipowners’ Issoeintion have decided that, in view of the difficulties Swedish tramp shipping has to face at home and the competition experienced from subsidized shipping abroad, something must be done to protect and preserve this section of the country's shipping industry. The association' believes It necessary that tile problem should be dealt, with in the near future without waiting for further consideration. At the same lime mi inquiry should be made regarding the possibilities of encouraging Swedish shipping so that the transport, of Swedish imports and exports is secured for Swedish tonnage to a larger extent than Is now the case.
