Colonel G. Smith Aims To Encourage Young Men

Dominion Special Service. OHRISTOHUROH, Sept. 19. With more than 50 years o’f military service behind him, Colonel G. J. Smith, Opawa, today enlisted for service with the special force. Sharing with the Hon. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes the honour of holding the senior colonelship of the Canterbury regiment. Colonel Smith is 77 years of age.
