“The two accused are waiting sentence in the Supreme Court for a similar offence in Hastings,” said Detective-Ser-geant P- Doyle in the Magistrates Court, Wellington, ‘ yesterday, when John AlcDonald, steward, aged 2.1. and Horace Timothy O'Connor, labourer, aged 18, were charged before Air. J. L. Stout, S.M., that on August 1, in AVellington, while armed with a revolver, they robbed Charles AVilliams. Asking for a remand till September -0, Air. Doyle said that the police had hoped to go oil with the case earlier, but some of the witnesses had left Wellington. Uhe remand was granted. Alaking his thirty-ninth appearance tor various offences, according to the police, AVilliam Lindsay Atkinson, labourer, aged 51, admitted a charge of wilful and obscene exposure in Khandallah on August 23. He was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment with hard labour. Ou a charge of indecent assault, alleged to have been committed in Ngaio on September 6, he was remanded to appear in AA'ellington today. John Davidson, labourer, aged 46. who admitted his sixth offence of drunkenness within the statutory period of six months, was seiueticcd io seven days’ jail with bard labour.
