DATE DECIDED

Centennial Exhibition Ball

At a meeting yesterday of the executive committee for the Centennial Exhibition ball, it was decided that the ball will be held on Friday, October 27. It was also announced that their Excellencies, the Governor-General and Lady Galway, have signified their intention of being present. Admission is to be by invitation, and the tickets will be priced at 15/single and 30/- double. It was also announced that no debutantes will be presented, as numbers of people have already been inquiring as to this. The ball, which will probably be the most spectacular in the history of New Zealand, will take place in the large assembly hall at the exhibition, and the Welsh Guards Band will supply the music. Guests from overseas and from all over New Zealand are expected.
