Mrs. Ewart Birchall, New Plymouth, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Miss Tingey, Wadestown Road, Wellington, is visiting Christchurch and is the guest of her sister, Mrs. E. C. Cording, Papanui.

Mrs. Fitzgerald, Wellington, is visiting New Plymouth and is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Leslie<Almond. Miss Joyce Reynolds, an ex-pupil of the Wairarapa College, has passed portion of the Library Association (London) examination. Miss Zona Stevens, Pahiatua, is relieving on the staff of the Pukerua Bay School, Wellington.

Miss M. Hanley, Hastings, is spending her holidays with her grandmother, Mrs. J. Hanley, Perry Street, Masterton.

Misses Harper and Barbara Allan, Wellington, will be visitors to Christchurch for race week. They will stay at Warwick House and later will be the guests of Mrs. Frank Scott. Mrs. P. H. Harris, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Ruddenklan, Napier. Mrs. A. S. Morley, Kelburn, Wellington, is visiting Christchurch, for the diamond wedding celebrations of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Waters, St. Albans, who eame to New Zealand in 1878 in the ship Opawa. Mrs. Francis Dillon has left Wellington on a short visit to Wanganui, where she is the guest of Mrs. Paterson, Gordon Park. Major Dillon arrived at Sydney by the Narkunda and is expected in New Zealand during the coming week. Major and Mrs. Dillon will return to their home in India early in September.
