BOUNTY PAYMENTS
Stimulating Shipbuilding In Australia (Received August 5, 12.45 a.m.) CANBERRA, August 4. Bounty payments up to £50,000 a year for three years have been decided on by the Commonwealth Government in order to stimulate shipbuilding in Australia. The bounty will apply to vessels between 100 and 1500 tons gross register at the rate of £l2/10/- a ton on vessels between 100 and 750 tons with a gradual reduction to £lO a ton on ships of 1500 tons.
