8000-MILE FLIGHT
Record Claimed By Italy ROME, August 2. It is claimed that a three-engined air force machine has established a world record for a long-distance closed-cir-cuit flight. Tlie machine covered S(>3(» miles in 57hr. Iniin. 52see.. at an average speed of 1 isj miles an hour. It flew in a triangle tin; sides of which were 621 miles long. The Japanese held the previous record of 72-10 miles.
