••WHE ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN,” Mickey Rooney’s first solo starring picture, is a sequel to “Tom Sawyer,” but Tom Sawyer at no time tippears in it. Huckleberry appeared as Tom’s friend and confidante in the first book, and it was several years later that Twain carried on the series by following Huckleberry through his adventures as a runuaway up the river. It was written in 1880, but the period is about 18-10 Sacramento river boats such as rhe famous Delta Queen and Delta King, probably the only river passenger boats in operation today in the Far West of the United States, when railroads, trucks, and pianos, to say nothing of automobiles, have made them, obsolete, figure in the picture
