Appointment Of New r Secretary MR. C. H. COURTNEY, ELTHAM The appointment of Mr. C. H. Courtney, Eltham, as secretary and chief executive officer of the New Zealand Dairy Board, was made at its meeting yesterday. Mr. Courtney wia succeed Mr. T. C. Brash, who will retire at the eifd of the year and who has held the position since the inception of the board. Mr. Courtney has had a long and successful career in the dairy Industry, having been secretary of the Rongotea Co-operative Dairy Company prior to his appointment as secretary of the Eltham Co-operative Dairy Company, a post he has held for the past 16 years. In addition, he has taken a prominent part in dairy industry affairs both in Taranaki and in outside districts. He was one of three selected to bring Gown a standardized balance-sheet, for dairy companies two years ago, and has also prepared l several reports on zoning and other industry problems. Mr. Courtney will take up his duties in about three months.
