D.I.C., WELLINGTON
Mr. R. D. Thomson Appointed Manager
Mr. R. D. Thomson lias been appointed manager of the D.I.C. in succession to Mr. W. Simm, who recently retired after 28 years of management.
Mr. Thomson was educated at Wellington College, and joined the D.I.C. in 1927. He became manager of the firm’s branch in Wanganui in 1931, aud in 1936 took up the position of merchandise manager in Wellington, being from that time associated with Mr. Simm, whom he now succeeded. He has also had business experience in Australia. He took over the management in Wellington yesterday.
